Mac & MultiClienting

Recommended Posts

Hi guys,

Just recently started back up on the dofus tip and I was wondering if theres any mac users out there that can help me. I multiclient and switching between clients is tedious.. I'm aware theres a program on windows that organizes all the clients into one tab so that you can just switch between them that way, but is there one for a mac? And if so could somebody steer me in the right direction? Going to be running about 6 accounts so I'd appreciate the help!

Thanks

System Preferences > Keyboard > Shortcuts > List on left: Mission Control. There should be a checklist where you can see "Switch to Desktop _" and you can click/set to a custom key. I just log the clients and set them according to Initiative order and swap around with Command + 1 through Command + 8, etc. I am not 100% sure if the Windows Alt+Tab just rotates in a set order, but with this you can jump from client to client in any order you like.

This is just what I use, there might be smoother/easier applications out there.

Good luck!

Thanks bud, do I have to do this every time I log the 8 chars? I wish there was an easier way, on windows way back when I used an program where I just log on in each tab in order of initiative and that was that lol

Well, once this Shortcut is set up, you do not have to keep setting it. After you initially set it up, in the future all you will have to do is open all your Dofus clients (in your case 6), then drag and drop them into individual Desktops at the top of your screen with the Mission Control key. I think it's like F3 or something by default. It zooms out your current Desktop and reveals all the running applications, and you drag and drop those clients at the top into separate Desktops. This works with any application, not just Dofus clients (ie. you can have Safari running on one screen while Dofus is on another, etc)

Is that what you were asking? Hope that clarified a bit

I often have a load of other shit open on different desktops so prefer to have clients bound to F1, F2, F3 etc

This guide explains it all http://impsvillage.com/forums/topic/134396-streamlining-multiclienting-on-mac/

Praise jerm
