Hello,

we are actually trying to do the Protozorror with 7 chars:
Enu (mp reduction set)

Eni

Maska

Sram

Iop

Eca

Feca

We struggle with the problem that we can only kill Bacterrible and Bashillus at round 6. We would like to kill the Viring, too, but it gets too close and deals a lot of damage or Bashillus swaps position with him so that the timer is resetted. Now we're wondering if we should reduce our team size. Maybe we kick feca out because he isn't that usefull there because his range is pretty capped and the glyphs are not that usefull and get in our way, too. If possible we would like to do it with 6-7 chars.

So is there a certain strategy available for Protozorror, maybe a specific killing order?

The problem is that after nerf counter/word of thorn doesn't work anymore obviously and our summons, especially doubles cause they just skip or do absolutely shit. So we don't see a possibility in doing the Pataugerms first. Another problem is the huge damge over time when the mobs get close to us. We tried to use pull out on turn 2 so that the mob doesn't get too close but then again Viring will survive cause the timer is resetted. So if we're at turn 6 we got five mobs left and at that time the whole mob is so close that 1-3 our chars are nearly dead.

If any of you guys have any ideas how to deal with it, would be great.

You might be able to shave down your team size to enu/iop/masq/sram/eni.

For the viring, you'll want to wait for it to get close, then push it into the wall repeatedly with intimidation/frightening word/whatever else you have to 0-out his MP, he then becomes completely harmless and you can focus on damaging the monsters more. The bashillus is your largest priority, so always focus on not healing for the first 5 turns. With a little luck and some dopple spam, you'll be able to kill off the pathogerm as well. Keep your enu on MP reduction duty and make your sram either agility or give it very high lock to keep protozorror off of your team for a few turns with double. Save protozorror for last, but don't be afraid to turn him pink beforehand in order to remove his ever-increasing %power bonus.

It's a very hard dungeon boss, don't give up!

Thanks, we're trying it now with enu/iop/eni/eca/masq/sram and it works quite well. We managed to kill everything besides Protozorror but then we were not able to move him into his glyph. We bribed him a turn before, so maybe it isn't possible to move him after bribe?

If any of you guys have any further informations for vulning Protozorror, like at which range it is possible to attract him, it would be great.

The first char that hits Proto needs to activate the trap, only the first hit every turn will attract. If you hit it for instance with Enu (SoJ) but not linear, and you try it with the next char it won't work.

The easiest tactic I found was sram to go first, use tricky traps to create the glyphs and activate right away, also lock proto with sram and keep shielding him with Masq/preventing/bag etc.

In addition to what bobeur said, you can manually create a glyph using enu coining himself or Iop celestial swording himself.
