Posted (edited)

Not sure how to describe the problem, but here's a video !!!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yAwwZRyrMyQ&feature=youtu.be

If I leave one of my chars idle for too long it'll d/c me. Happened ever since merge but here are my pc specs if it matters.

i7 4770k

8GB Ram

GTX 780ti

thx......

I've had something similar where the last character I log will just stop loading the game and eventually just disconnect

Do you have Multi-account optimisation enabled in Settings -> Performance?

I've had some weird disconnects since merge too.

Yeah, a lot of other people are having the same problem. If they are idle for a couple minutes the same problem occurs as seen in the video and they disconnect. Glad it's not only happening to me

I have this problem too, especially when Dofus is not the active window, so could be to do with that?

Check this thread and share what you can to help pinpoint the issue.

Hopefully they address it with this update. This is getting more and more frustrating, it was a little better the closer we go to the maintenance. I guess that's because there was a lot less traffic going on in the server. I was still running at about 80-120ms the whole night but yet the minute I enter a fight, lag everywhere. I had to type something or use an emote just to get the client to run properly and wait while the characters screen showed everyone running around casting their spells in fast forward before being able to play my turn. I leave my emotes window running constantly now just so i can click one and pinpoint which client it is out of the four that I run. I've never had any problems with internet speed, neither down/or load rates. My Xfinity box sits right next to the computer and it fucking flies.

So why Ankama am I lagging. I wonder if the french get these problems also.

It clearly has to do with the server merge since these reports came only afterwards, and en masse. Whatever they did, it seems to have caused some connection issues. Don't bother looking into your home network for problems, you won't find any (unless your shit actually fucks up, but you'll notice that outside dofus too). Also up- and download rates do not matter at all, Dofus uses mere bytes while playing.

They've updated the game with some fixes to this, as well as more fixes coming in 2.42. If anyone is still getting problems related to this, check this thread.
