Ok hey everyone
Today i was just using my laptop normally at work and stuff
it froze 2 times in a row and then when i booted it back up it said i had to repair windows
this took me over 3 hours maybe 4.
With no good result.
After those attempts i went home to see if i could fix it with installing a new windows 7
This failed twice in a row .
Then it succeeded and restarted my comp.
Then it came up with an error telling me i had to repair it again and then it didnt do anything
Im now trying to install windows 7 again to see if it works.
but also gonna try 4 backup files

Anyone know what went wrong or how to fix this?
I need this laptop for school and work and without i cant do really much.

i dont know what to say, whenever my laptop goes down with some internal error i just try to restore to a previous restore point...has not failed me yet xD

but i see you cant get to that stage =/

Restore point got deleted by windows =/ so got none aswell
Futher on to update
i got my backup files and its reading atm. 76% done and 3 mins remaining sooo..
lets hope=x

EDIT: it says
"SMART failure predicted on hard disk 5 :Toshiba blabla
WARNING : Immediatly back up your data and replace your hard disk drive. A failure may be imminent
PRess F1 to continue"

...hard disk broken?

SMART can be pretty handy, but its word shouldn't be taken as dogma. While it just may be that your HDD is almost toast, it's also a possibility that it still has some life left in it.

If I were you, I'd backup everything onto an external and check it all out before going with a new HDD. Programs like DiskCheckup can give you some more tangible info as to what's actually going on in there. You can also usually get HDD test software from the manufacturer's website. If the SMART error is preventing you from doing anything, just disable the damn thing (BIOS > Ignore Errors should do it).

I'd recommend buying another Hard drive, doesn't seem like a hardware related issue with the comp. Buy a hard drive and find a way to restore your back up externally. Sorry not the best advice but..

Sounds like an HDD failure; laptop manufacturers tend to just stick shitty, cheaply made Hitachi hard drives in laptops. If your laptop is still under warranty, get it replaced. Otherwise, you'll need to shell out for a new 2.5inch internal HDD and I'd recommend going with a trustworthy manufacturer like Western Digital or perhaps Seagate.

Do you guys think this laptop is alright?

Its for photoshop, dofus, Maybe other game, micrsoft expressionweb and more stuff. I think its quite good but more feedback would help:)
