New beta Kolossium changes

Nothing to big or long, at least for now.
The Beta Test server has been updated and all characters were imported.
This update mainly concerns the Kolossium system.

Here is the list of changes:

The Kolossium's experience rewards now also depend on a character's rating and not only on their level. This change encourages players to try to reach their real rating and penalizes those who try to artificially reduce their rating. The character level will determine the maximum value of experience one can win and the rating determines how much will be gained in a specific fight.
The system now takes the rate of abnormal wins and losses (too far from a 50% chance) into account, in order to adjust a character's rating towards a more consistent value more rapidly.
A decrease in rating after a win is no longer possible.
The formation of teams is improved. When two teams of three characters are selected for a fight, the system will check other combinations of the characters to try and compose two teams which are more balanced.
All ratings of characters are reset in order to evaluate these changes more easily.
A character's health points can no longer exceed its maximum health (in the event of an attack causing more unhealable health points loss than actual damage dealt).
The initiative and health points are properly updated during the preparation phase of a fight.

I think the first is saying that higher rating means higher exp along with higher level to stop epic levels lowering their own rating to get easy exp. I'm as lost as you on the second one though

hmm, but my char, fighting random with low rank, already gets only high rank exomage preset groups
so the change is, that if i manage to win such fight anyway, i'll now get even less exp? thats... interesting :-)

awesome thanks for clearing that little one up for us, i never understood the whole concept of losing rating for winning a fight in a random system that is beyond our control and is deemed unfair by the very same system that made it.... B-)

I am testing this new rating thing right now but it needs more people to log i think. Finding a fight takes awfully long.
I hope they fix all the Kolossium issues we have with it right now so it can be fun and popular again.

It really is, i had to double check that 'change' myself and it said that "n'est" translates both to "is" and "not", so confusing. Anyway first post updated.

Izmar, am i right to assume that second last change also affects fights outside kolo? or is it some kolo only bug?

Well, French uses this "ne [verb] something" construct a lot. It's kinda important what comes after the verb. The ones which often appear in Dofus changelogs are:
ne [verb] pas = not
ne [verb] plus = no longer
ne [verb] que = only/just
(In case it starts with a vowel, like est = is, then "ne" is glued to the verb as "n'".)

Hope this helps with future confusion. ^_^


And, I believe both the last changes concern all fights, because they were also broken in all fights. I will check quickly on the Beta.

edit: No, the thing adressed by the last change is still broken. The second-last one is also still broken. Zzzz.

Permanent health loss is definitely not capped at 50%, at least in pvm. In a fuji soul yesterday my sac was at 940/898hp, so I guess they're fixing that.

If you have Feca armours, Preventing Word or any other damage reduction from spells then you get permanent damage as if you didn't have those spells on.

1000/1000 HP, you have Glowing armour, get leeked for 100 damage. Armour reduces all 100, but you lose the 10% permanent of the 100 anyway (or more if you have permanent damage debuffs).
Your HP should be 990/990 after that, but at the moment it's 1000/990.
