Moderator applications have been opened for the English speaking communities. I believe this does not apply to the international community, unfortunately, as I would enjoy participating in the process to mod in the Portuguese speaking community.

Already made this mention on the official forums.

Ankama isn't a gaint company that prints money such as Blizzard and Bioware. I'm sure that if they really had the extra money lying around they would hire a special mod team, but then those mods would need to speak French, since they would have to be employed by Ankama, and the chances of the English community getting actual English mods would be slim to non, as we're the third largest community. Then I'd imagine they would only hire people that have little to no experience with playing the game, so it would end up being like WoW or SWTOR, where people that don't understand how things in games work and up banning random people over stuff as simple as running around naked spamming /getdown 1000 times.

ankama isnt the tiny company it once was anymore. stop using that to excuse their crap. sure hiring a mod team is probably asking toomuch. but they're NOT a small company anymore. they have their own anime, 6(+?) games, i think a manga too. and employ over a hunderd people. that's not small in my book.

Well, I do not think that Ankama being a small company is the reason that they do not hire mods. I believe it is because they are cheap! >.> Ah well, I really do not know lol. I would LOVE to become a mod to help out the Dofus continuity, but I am NOT going to do it out of the goodness of my freaking Osamodas heart. >.> And I think that people who do are either; really nice and willing to do a service for free, really stupid, thinking that they will gain something out of this, or really crappy, TRYING to gain something out of this lol. I am hoping that it is the really nice people doing this and not the other ones.

On a side note I love how they don't actually tell you what the position entails, besides the term "moderating", which is unfortunately not descriptive enough for my tastes.

Here it talks about some of the Moderator's duties ( though alittle dated ) , Generally a new mods duties are assigned to Bot control, And control of those naughty little players ( im sure you know who they are

)

Would you be able to tell me if the current spots available are only on the English speaking community? Would be very nice to have mod openings on the other communities, really glad that Ankama is now responsible for Spiritia and Helioboros (no, really, Level Up was so bad that you can't even compare them with Ankama. That bad).
