So I picked up a small Minecraft server for the chaps in Imps IRC. This thread is mainly so I can direct them towards the details, but if anyone sees this and is interested in coming along to play then feel free. It's only an 8-slot server right now, since only a few of us play. If we get more demand I can move us to a larger server.

Rules
I've left the server un-whitelisted, perhaps at my own peril. The only rule is "Don't be a douchebag" much like our IRC server. This is a relatively ambiguous rule, and I will deal with things on a case by case basis. That being said, destroying other people's work or general griefing will result in a ban. I'd like to make it crystal clear that I will not be handing out time-length bans; I will just permanently ban both your IP and account. If you have an issue with this... I don't care. That being said, just be a normal, not-so-asshole person and it wont come to this.

Plugins
Homes
Use /myhome to set your home ingame.
Use /gohome to immediately return there. Useful if you get lost, or have a full load of ores and don't want to risk dying.

WorldGuard
Creepers will still explode and harm you, but will not damage blocks.
Endermen will not move blocks.

It follows the mundane adventure of John while he chats to his friends and plays a video game and then HOLY SHIT WHAT IS HAAPPPEENNNIIINNGG HE'S PLAYING A GODDAMN PIANO AND THERE'S VIDEO GAMES???? WHY IS THERE VIDEO GAMES??? THIS IS A WEB COMIC THIS IS NO PLACE FOR GAMEPLAY??? AND HOLY SHIT THERE'S MOVIES AS WELL I'M GONNA DIE

The characters are fleshed out and the female characters are treated as actual people instead of "tits & ass for audience appeal" and "Oh what do you think of John isn't he DREAMY~~~ all I can think about are the MALE characters!!", I mean, god damn. Rose is freaking amazing, the first thing that happens to her is her house fucking burns down and she's not even PHASED.

Mass Effect 3

So, the demo for Mass Effect 3 was released today, so looking forward to the full game next month The demo doesn't really have much to it but here's some things I really liked:

-The new power leveling system seems much better than ME1 or ME2. At each level after the first two of any power, you are given 2 choices of what you can upgrade ie x% more damage or x% shorter cooldown, more melee damage etc

-The new cover options for combat are nice, allowing you to run to another spot with a simple button press.

-The weapons seem easier to use. They give you a full soldier loadout for the second mission no matter what, so you can try all the weapon types (except sniper rifles )

-They're bringing weapon customization back! I really like this, since some weapons in ME2 I passed on because of a few annoyances that could have been fixed with upgrades.

You couldn't really get much of a sense of the story or dialog choices since it is a pretty limited demo (2 nonlinear missions), and they used missions they've already shown in sneak peak movies and trailers, so no telling what the full game will bring. I will be pre ordering a copy very soon though

Between Friday night and Saturday, this girl got in a car drunk with some friends, also drunk, and they crashed, it killed her, two others are in serious condition. She is 14, has pictures of herself on Facebook smoking weed and all that stuff. A week prior to her dieing, she made a status about how her friends didn't pick her up, and they said they would, but they take forever, its 2 and she isn't at a party, and she says a few times she wishes they would die in a drunk driver car crash, ironic huh?

Anyways, what I'm asking is if my train of thought on this is right or logical... Someone made a group called *her name* is a scumbag, and they posted a bunch of pictures of stuff you'd find on supercalifragilisticexpialidocious based around her. Like one where it showed a random car in pieces saying "*her name* jackass edition" and a bunch of people are po'd. The people who are against it posted stuff like whoever posted this deserves to get the shit beat out of them and all that. They also said the people who who made fun of jamie rodemyer (however u spell it) for committing suicide should get the shit beat out of them(it was big on facebook since he went to a school that is near our district). Which makes no sense, since he killed himself because people bullied him, so they were gonna do the same thing..?

What I am really asking I am not sure,but I think i'm asking do highschoolers or people just have bad logic, is my though process wrong,or just your thoughts in general? The people who were complaining about the scumbag page also said they were reporting it so it gets taken down, but the same people put up SOPA and government censoring the internet things on FB. I'm not for the page, but if they have an opinion then they should be allowed to share it.

Got kind of bored after being disappointed with the end of the story in the game, so I decided to try out the multiplayer. Pretty fun if you ask me, takes a bit of getting used to.

So does anyone else play it? Only downside of this multiplayer is the time it takes to find people for certain game types. Hard for an achievement whore like me

Well previously in the night I was having a grand old time running a dungeon with my friend. During the middle of the one fight, one of my accounts was logged, and it didn't automatically join back in. I figured it was weird that only he went so I logged him back in it didn't happen again.

Well i went to go check my account page, and I was immediately prompted to change my password and secret answer. After checking my Ankama shield, I saw I was logged in from France. (I live on the east coast of the U.S.)
Well good thing restricted mode was the only mode available and whoever attempted it didn't get in for more than a few seconds.

So just a friendly reminder to check to see what's going on with your account. Freaked me out for sure.

It's pretty fun, the energy recharge is a bit annoying and the cash shop is overpriced though. It has a lot of cards and different classes, lots of deck customization. I'd definitely suggest giving it a fair shot if you're into this kind of game.

So I work for a fairly prestigious Audio Production company doing technical support and got a call from a soft spoken gentleman regarding an issue with his product. He was very polite and I continued to ask some questions about the nature of the problem.. I then asked for his email address so I could take a look at his account..He provided me with his address and the account popped up with first name Amon, last name Tobin. Immediately I got a bit of a rush just seeing the words on my little customer support screen. So I calmly asked "Uhhhmm, are you... Amon..Tobin?" to which he replied "Yes, mate hehah".

I have literally been listening to this dude's music for more than half my life (16 years or so).. and he has inspired a lot of my own music and production.. It would probably be the equivalent to talking to Brad Pitt or Rhianna for a lot of people.

I got to help one of my all time favorite music producers over the phone and it was an amazing experience lol. He is like the nicest, most patient customer I have ever spoken with too! I have talked to other celebrities in the past and most of the time they are snippy, impatient and not very understanding. I once met Sage Francis only to discover the guy has a less than desirable attitude toward even his most dedicated fans. When work was over, I popped permutation in my CD player on the ride home, it never sounded better.

Cheers to big time musicians that never lost their heart along the way. What an awesome fuckin day that was!

Back story. I was asked to do a duet in a wedding approximately 1.5 weeks before the actual wedding date. It was an outdoor event in a horse pasture (inoright). Anyway, I did my best to actually learn the song but needless to say, I botched it pretty hardcore. In the spirit of self-deprecation, I can only laugh at myself and let you do the same.
