Annoying math question

I hate that I am having to ask this here! Probably a simple question, I don't do enough maths in my day job and this has confused me.

I drive for 90 mins, my averge miles per gallon is 31.

I drive for a further 12 mins, very fast, my new average mpg for the full 102 mins is 20.

Question - what was my average miles per gallon during those 12 mins?

If someone could please tell me what I am missing I would appreciate it. Like I said, I'm sure it's basic, my brain is just a little fried

Hello!

So this is a topic that just crossed my mind and I wanted to share it with you since I had done some researches about this drink to actually see if rumors were true or not (about it being bad), so here goes!

As you all know, Redbull is an energy drink that can be consumed to gain energy and better mental performance.

The ingredients that Redbull contain are,

Taurine: A substance (Chemical) used to boost the mental and physical performance and helps the human body to detoxify, You must not get anywhere close to this substance if you have heart diseases, else it has no harm.The reason it causes heart problems if you have any heart diseases is because it increases your heart rate.

Caffeine: Increases your chances of staying up, and improves sprint, endurance, and sports performance (IF CONSUMED), otherwise it would only give you more energy and makes your heart beat more. You must not get anywhere close to this substance if you have heart diseases.

Glucuronolactone(My favorite): This substance actually changes your mood (Studies have proven that it does actually work) But the mood change is not very stable, some people may get satisfied, and some may get depressed, so try it and see which affects you.

sucrose, and glucose: Pure sugar

So whoever thinks or knows that redbull CAUSES DEATH please write your evidence below, as I am interested, and speaking of history, most of the deaths that have been witnessed were due to heart problems or caffeine poison / overdose, and i'm very sure you all know that having a lot of something may cause death (aka water poison).

Okay guys, I'm doing a presentation for my ethics class and I just need some info about acting ethically in MMO's. I want to get a good HONEST player response from people who frequently play MMO's. The more that you play or have played the better because it leads you to a larger sample set. Remember that you are free to answer anonymously or feel free to post your answers. But please please please make sure that you ANSWER EVERY QUESTION HONESTLY. This will help me to get good accurate data which is key in something like this.

Also I ask any mods that see this post to help me in keeping peace on the forums. With that IF I SEE ANY FLAMING OR HATE BASHING FOR ANY POSTS ABOUT ANSWERS YOU WILL BE REPORTED, this is for educational purposes.

Hacking Just With IP Address Known

Hey guys.

So there was this "hacker" that was asking if people wanted free 1 year p2p on public chat in-game of dofus. Well so i decided to be playful and start playing around with that fella. And he gave me a website that looks like ankama website. I then keyed in a fake username and password. And immediately he saw what i keyed in and he says it doesnt matter what i keyed as he has my IP address now.

So my actual question is that, whether he can hack me just by knowing my IP address?
I read up on the internet that hackers CAN actually hack into your computer just by knowing your address. Now that he told me this i got a little creeped out. And i've got AVG paid version.

Should i be worrying?

I posted about this in the gaming news thread, but I think it deserves its own thread. I've been kinda addicted to this game since I saw it posted by the developer on Reddit. It's a rogue-like dungeon crawler with randomly-generated dungeons. The game's in beta so there are some bugs, but the guy fixes them really quickly if you send in a bug report. I think it has a lot of potential and it'd be cool to see more people try it. The end of the dungeon is about 3000 feet down; you have to pay $2 to go past like halfway down or so, but it takes quite a while to get used to everything enough to make it that far. The $2 is definitely worth it for the amount of time that could be spent playing. It seems like every time I think I've seen or learned everything in it, I get or see something new and awesome. Only 5 people (including me :3) have beaten it, let's see some more names added to that list >

He has the update news at the start of the game but he also posts in www.reddit.com/r/wazhack with updates and such.

Oh also it runs with unity player, that's like the fancy new cousin of flash that a lot of people are making new games with. Can download it at http://unity3d.com/unity/download/ .

So, out of boredom i've noticed there isn't really a what city/town/state thread around here, so I decided why not, lets get my creep on lol.
After a couple years of playing dofus i've noticed there isn't many that play dofus around where i live, like one person ever basically. But anyways where do you live at, maybe this thread can get people to get out of there house and meet new friends, who knows worth a shot at least.

As some of you may know WrestleMania was on last night.. For those of you that watch WWE, what were your thoughts on who won and who lost..?

Shamus taking the title from Daniel Brian was amazing and it happened so fast. Great way to open the show I think.

Kane and Randy Orton.. I think Randy should've won that one, but Kanes choke slam from the top rope was cool.

Divas.. I was too busy looking at their asses

Undertaker and Triple H what a match! That went on forever and ever and ever and ever.. But overall was a good fight and was great with all the suspense.

John Cena vs The Rock.. Hmm, not what I quite expected but still it was good to see them two fight one another. The Rock made the Arena go crazy!

Team Johnny vs Team Teddy - It was obvious before the fight even started that team Johnny was going to win just by looking at their team. I think the teams were definetely un-even! And what Eve did to Zack Rider.. What a B*tch - anyone know why she did that?

Hall of Famers, good to see some old faces.. quite sad seeing Edge who had tears in his eyes, poor guy.

Flo Rida - wicked performance!
Also the other band that introduced John Cena.. Dont know the name.

I know this isn't real but its still ever so interesting and the story lines are amazing.

Path of Exile is a FREE and online Action RPG that resembles Diablo.

Its in closed beta at moment, but this weekend is going to happen a public stress test, so it will be open to everyone.

I recommend this game in special to all veterans from the Diablo 1 (because the feeling you get by playing PoE is in the same league).

Apart from the visual resemblance, the game mechanics are very distinct in almost everything: flask system (rechargeable potions), passive skill "forest", active skills as gems (to socket on items) + support active skill gems, no gold, etc.

No but seriously, since I have nothing to do I'll tell a short story and ask what you guys think.

A while back I went and applied to a local store in my town, needed money (as everyone does) and my friend (who works there) specifically told me they were hiring. So I get my application, hand it in directly to the manager. He looks at me, looks it over, and then says "Well, I don't have any openings, but if I do I'll tell you." So I said "Alright, well thank you" and shook his hand and then left the store. So about 2 days go by and then the store puts a giant NOW HIRING sign with multiple positions on it as if they were getting no applications and were like "HEY WE NEED PEOPLE HURRY HALP"

So I didn't say anything to the guy or bother going back there. But why the hell didn't he call me? If he needed someone so bad to the point he would put up a sign AFTER RECEIVING an application from someone. Why bother? Honestly, I'd love to throw the racial card because that one seems to come up way too often, but you can't ever prove that XD. Is he just a douche, racist or was it his revenge for me walking into the store.... and not buying anything!?!?!

And my application was legit, past jobs with experience, everything filled out, neat handwriting... I mean on paper I don't look like a super hero, but I can damn well work in a small store and exceed your expectations. And the part that bothers me the most is that he had the balls to tell me he's not even hiring, AND THEN PUT A SIGN OUT.

If that store randomly catches on fire... I will neither confirm nor deny that it was me that did it. (But if it seriously does and the feds find this... it wasn't me XD).

So I heard something that bothered me today, but got me thinking about what other people think about this. I know I haven't posted on imps in forever, but I've always known you folks to be a thoughtful and well spoken bunch (lets ignore La Madre/Dofus "NERF TH1S NA0W!!" topics...) so I wondered what your opinions on the topic were.
While sitting in Economics today the topic of socioeconomic status came up, and my teacher said a comment that bothered me.
She said:
"I believe [that] poor people are poor, because they make (excuse the pun) poor life choices. Just look at the statistics of how many poor people smoke and drink, obviously they're poor because they made worse life choices than rich people".
Now I happen to disagree with this point of view. I think their are factors out of ones control that can cause them to be poor, and I don't think as a percentage that poor people make worse life choices than rich people. Though the point that poor people smoke more cigarettes than rich people is a valid one.

Enough of my jiba-jaba (that one's for you Kittenpaste) lets hear what you folks have to say on the issue. Please keep it clean, I doubt anyone on the interweb would offend another person with flaming or trolling, but it never hurts to be safe. Right?

So I was chatting with Kiba on the IRC earlier and it was brought to my attention that there are only about 7 Active people on the Whatpulse team and that seems a bit unacceptable.

We both also realized that the link in our signatures advertising Whatpulse was broken since the topic doesn't exist outside of the archives anymore. I've cut and pasted all the information from the old Whatpulse thread in the archives so that it can be more easily seen again.

What is WhatPulse? WhatPulse is a key counting program which monitors the amount of keystrokes and mouse clicks that a user makes over a period of time. Its authors say that is not spyware, as it does not record the keys that are pressed (software that does this is called a keylogger), but instead measures the number of times that keys are pressed. In this way, one can see the number of keystrokes and mouse clicks over a period of time.

Why would I want WhatPulse? The software also optionally enables a user to see the frequency at which he or she types different letters on a keyboard. It enables that user to see how fast he or she is typing over a long period of time by taking an average over that period.

Periodically, one can upload the number of keystrokes that one makes to the server; this is called "pulsing". Users can see where they are in the leader board of people who have joined the program and compare themselves against people from their own countries. Users can also join teams, which enable them to compare themselves against people with similar interests.

Does WhatPulse contain any spyware? Simple answer, no. See their Privacy Policy for further information.

That sounds really cool! How do I get it? First you'll want to Sign up. Then download the WhatPulse client and log in. Then just go about the daily routine. When you are Signing up, there will be a category called "Initial Computer Username." This is for your computer, if you use more than one computer than you can have more than one set up to track usage on each computer. An example would be a profile for your home computer called "Home" and another one for your work computer called "Work".

Then if you want you can join the Impsvillage.com Team. You do not have to be in a certain guild or even play Dofus. You aren't expected to do anything and all joining the team does is let you compare yourself to other people who use the Imps Village forum. So ideally, you'd be a member of the Imps Village forum so that you'd have that in common with the rest of us.
To Join the Impsvillage.com team:

Go to the team tab in your profile.
Click "join a team"
Search for "impsvillage.com" (without the quotes of course)
There should only be one result, click that
The password is "dofus" (once again, without the quotes)

How should I configure WhatPulse? That is up to you, I reccomend setting up automatic pulses though, pulsing regularly will help you avoid losing any large amounts of keystrokes and clicks if you become de-synced from the server for whatever reason.

How do I get one of those nifty signature images? There used to be a long and convoluted process for choosing an image and then uploading it. It's a lot easier now, you just upload your image, preview it, save it and voila. You can edit them here.

TL;DR Get Whatpulse, Join the Impsvillage team, Enjoy a friendly, always-on competition with the rest of us.

Whatpulse has gone through a lot of changes over the years and most of them have been usability and accessibility related. Originally there was no Mac or Linux client but there is an official one available now. In the past I held a Whatpulse contest for most improved user in a month. It was a lot of work but it was also a lot of fun and I think it was a great success. I don't play Dofus anymore so I have no means of providing a reward but if anyone ever feels like giving something away and bringing along a little excitement I have no problems hosting another contest.

Not at all! WhatPulse is developing a Mac client, but they're only releasing it on their website when it hits version 1.0 -- the full out-of-beta WhatPulse. My link to the Mac version is to an RC3 version. What's that? Well, it stands for Release Candidate 3. Basically, the mac client was in Beta and they tested it, and when they thought it was ready to go, they made RC1 and gave it to a bunch of people. People reported bugs, so they fixed them and released RC2. Still a few bugs, so they fixed up the last of them and put out RC3 -- the version they THINK is going to be the official version. So it's not on their website, but you can get it from other distributors like the one here! Snap it up and get clicking!

The Legend of Korra has premiered and every Saturday at 11:00 a.m. there will be a new episode. Basically just going to use this thread as a discussion for the show. Going to keep all the old information down below in case someone missed something.
