  2. [Guide updated for 2017 by Gravestorm.] You regularly use the Dofus Wiki to look up things, but you never really got into all the editing and updating. Now you found some info that's missing or wrong and you'd like to help out. But actually, you're not quite sure what to do. This little guide is for you, then. It's meant to cover only the basics for casual Wiki users. If you have any questions regarding the Wiki feel free to ask them in this thread. Editing an existing page If you only want to edit minor information in a page, Visual Mode suffices, though if you want to change Templates or the page's structure, you must use Source Mode to avoid breaking the page (see the images below). If you have an account, you can also permanently disable Visual Mode and activate Source Mode in Special:Preferences -> Editing. Classic Editor/Visual Mode Source Mode You see the source code of the page. And while you don't know what all the commands mean, you can easily recognize the page you saw earlier. You can start replacing the wrong or missing information. (Tip: If you forgot what you are editing, or just want to see if the page looks good, there are two Preview buttons in the right side "Mobile" and "Desktop", you should only use "Desktop", when you click it, the page you are currently editing will pop out with your changes so you can see if you made any mistakes that you can fix, your work will not be lost and you can continue editing by exiting the pop out that appeared.) You're done with your edit now. In the right side there is the green button "Publish" that will save your changes, but just in case, check the page one last time with the "Desktop" button to see if everything looks good. Optionally, in the text box you can add what you just changed. Creating a new page Sometimes a page is just flat out missing, because no one got around to creating it yet. There are two things to consider before making a new page though: Did you miss the page because it's spelled differently? Is there a need for such a page? Once you checked that, be bold and create a page. To create a page simply click the "Contribute" button in the top right and then the "Add a page" button that appears, after that enter the name of the new page and click "Next". You will see a very weird editor appear, just click "Cancel" and use the Classic Editor/Visual Mode/Source Mode as shown in the images above. To make creating pages easier, there are Templates for pretty much any new page that you can copy paste and then fill in (Only when editing in Source Mode), you can find them here. Add a page If you have any questions regarding the Wiki feel free to ask them in this thread!
  3. Beta is up now! Here's the changelog (cleaning it up now, work in progress):
  4. I didn't see a topic about Merkator yet, so here's some info from the French forum: http://forum.dofus.com/fr/1052-serveur-test/1802204-etat-invulnerable-merkator-2-16-comment-enlever If a monster starts its turn next to a char/summon, that char/summon dies. All monsters are in unmoveable state. Any MP removal attempt deals ~500 fire dmg to the caster. If a monster starts next to another monster, it deals 600~700 water damage to it and applies a state for 2 turns. The state is not enough to make the boss vulnerable. (probably linked to it though?) The boss hits at linear range, ~1200 earth damage with Burning Arrow AoE. It has another melee attack that takes vit% and does ~1000 water on top. The boss revives monsters at a range and with ~50% of their HP, apparently 5 turns cooldown. I haven't done it myself, that's just what the topic says. Doesn't it sound like huuuuuge fun? Seems to imply you need to rely on AI to move as you need it... edit: AH, found more on JoL (http://forums.jeuxonline.info/showthread.php?t=1235433&page=13#post26510554) The state is always applied when a monster starts its turn, to anything in an area of 2. A monster with that state active needs to start next to Merkator.
  5. Yeah, that. Long overdue... I've not actually played for some months now, and half my fl probably knows that my chars aren't geared anymore. Shoutout to my achievement buddies and people on my fl. Some of you guys on IV were okay too, I guess. :P Bye, was fun while it lasted.
  6. Yeah well, it definitely is a mistake because it's not even in line with the other almond stripes. Interesting also that they not only messed up the dodge to be negative, oh no... that 10% instead of 11% res is the cherry on top. Is it confirmed to actually have a dodge malus, by the way? I'd not be surprised if it were a display error but gave the bonus as expected. Because one thing Ankama are good at are mindfuckingly bizarre bugs. Ah I saw the original post, the guy who owns it said it's a display bug (only referring to the malus though, I am curious about the res).
  7. This is actually pretty good as far as stat combos go. The dodge one is supposedly the same.
  8. Keine is shorthand for Keine Ahnung, so yes, very German Huppermage.
  9. 3 former pillar classes in one team... ok. 4-0 seems a bit ambitious, don't underestimate the server just cause it's not a French one. Their two wins against Silvosse were landslides and their losses involved some kills at least. That is more than can be said for Rushu. :P Not to be negative, I do hope for a 4-0, just saying - don't get overconfident.
  10. Nice Para Word on Duel, Broq! P.S. Where is Adora :(
  11. Yeah, that could have been handled a bit better. But it's good to hear that at least some of us got a chance to get in. Will you be able to stream today, Ulti? If so, what's your channel?
  12. The English-speaking forum had no call for streamers this year, at least none that I could find. Other communities did. Well... I don't know if some English-speaking folks will get late access, but at least there should be PT/BR streamers covering. They had 3 fansites approved who need to cover live. Portuguese fight chat and quite likely commentary, but hey, at least we get to watch... The approved channels were: https://www.youtube.com/user/PTDofusBR https://www.youtube.com/user/DOFUSAOCUBO https://www.youtube.com/user/CinnDofus (No idea if they will stream using Youtube or Twitch, though... those were the only links the forum provided.) Since their community has only Spiritia running this year, you can expect all fights will be covered. P.S.: Here is the streamer list of the French community for the future fights - http://forum.dofus.com/fr/1081-actualite/2170391-goultarminator-viii-suivez-tournoi-live
  13. Quick reminder: Matches start today at 19:30 DUT (in 7h from the time of this post). Rushu teams fight Spiritia, the other matches are at 20:15, 21:00 and 21:45, so if they don't take too long, there's a chance to see them all.
  14. Bit of a late reply, but yes, you can indefinitely save them (until you get annoyed by the achiev box being there constantly). This might sound a bit overly nerdy but back when I did that, I kept track a little of what %donation worked to get them as close as possible to exact level 5 (so no XP were wasted that could go to char/guild otherwise). Here are some common XP values that you find on achievs and the donation to mount that works (lvl 200 char with 1 mount): 1,950,000+ - 1% 1,891,402 - 2% 1,541,160 - 6% 1,505,385 - 7% 1,250,000 - 12% 1,236,757 - 13% 1,133,280 - 16? 975,000 - 22% 827,295 - >27% (29?) 752,692 - 35% 581,040 - 49% 566,640 - 51% 500,000 - >58% (60?) 481,818 - >60% (62?) 413,647 - >70% (75?) 388,125 - 84% 290,520 - >90%
  15. And you are doing this on... your Osa likely? If so, did you read this topic: Production Secret is not as hard as the rat fight. Str build has an advantage here too if you end up using that for the rats, but int can do it too (it's more annoying though). Ranged weapon, get good vit, push things away (especially the big brown boxes), don't die.
  16. Fair warning, my friends, this is still an English-speaking forum. Remember that even if you're only reacting. Speaking of which... please don't start fights even if you feel provoked. Now carry on with on-topic discussion please. (On-topic also means 2016 and not "but last year X happened!", mkay?)
  17. You let your server down, Veldin. :( And the highlight must be the team captain, yes. In the Goult announcement it was mentioned that the team captain is based on only the votes of the actual Goult mains/subs during the popularity test (there's no separate voting). Still funny though since some classes only had one choice. I assume Lorn got 100% votes too and was then selected randomly?
  18. Make it light blue. Go for a Tron look. Or neon green, also sexy with black.
  19. Go Team Brocket! Now I am curious is Defuse is just marked for highest total votes or if he's also team captain this year... since rules for that changed and the captain is now the one with the most votes from other contestants only. That might very well be the same person but I could imagine the Goult team-internal votes for contestants were closer to each other overall. Nevermind, checked Rosal to compare. Highlight is actually the team captain.
  20. From the Goult rules: So if they keep their word, we should know all of the stats a few days after the 19th (which is the data backup date, so the server will open later that week most likely).
  21. Oto Mustam is not out though? They only have 1 Fogg/Xel but all classes represented at least. Amazingly enough, so does Shadow. Either way, RIP. The saddest thing is, I bet Ankama won't even care since all their darling French servers are in.
  22. Seems to be just you then? Because, taking Ecas as an example, for me they were : Real - Jiniriodan - Snickahs - Junnsim - Kanye (2-4-5-1-3 by speed). Brock was listed last with 3rd time, and so on. It's not even consistent between page visits. So essentially, some people probably wasted their time on getting that perfect speed test. The years before randomization it was really, really rare that anyone but the two fastest chars made the cut, because apparently Astrub noobs just go "dunno any of them, I just vote top to bottom". Then again, this year it looks like that wouldn't even be the worst option. edit @Steam: Come to think of it, 2 years ago it was not randomized, because now I remember it was the year you didn't get in on Fogg because a random alt put on a Nomarow set and grinded some Goultard, then was worthless/gearless during the actual tournament. RIP. Either way, yeah, they could have at least left the turns on display (actual time is debatable, because what does ping matter when you get DDoS'ed anyway haha). But on the other hand, it's kinda crappy they force the best players to grind the same daft fight over and over for a good time. If they'd announced it beforehand that the time is unimportant save for making a top 5 cutoff, it could have been better for everyone involved.
  23. It was randomized last year too. Maybe even the last 2 years, I'm not sure anymore.
