  1. Hi all, As there was demand on the official DOFUS forums for a Profession Experience Calculator, I've gone ahead and created one: click here to take a look (and click File > Download as to download an editable copy). When calculating DOFUS PC profession experience... Enter your Current level, Target level and Level of item being crafted into the boxes with red outlines; You will be told immediately whether or not you can use that craft to reach the Target level - "YES" will be shown if there are no violations (eg crafting a level 10 item at level 170, which would yield 0 XP); "NO" will be shown if there are (and the reason given); You will see the Average XP per craft, which takes into consideration level disparity (and the resultant reduced XP; see this official forum post for more information); and You will then be told how many crafts are needed to reach the Target level, which is rounded up. When calculating DOFUS Touch profession experience... Enter your Current level, Target level and Number of slots being crafted into the boxes with red outlines; You will be told immediately whether or not you can use that craft to reach the Target level - "YES" will be shown if there are no violations (eg crafting a 7-slot item at level 40, which is not possible); "NO" will be shown if there are (and the reason given); and You will then be told how many crafts are needed to reach the Target level, which is rounded up. Let me know what you think/if you find any errors! Thanks, Vahe
  2. What is Sub Rosa? Sub Rosa is a new-ish, English-speaking guild on the Grandapan server. The guild name itself roughly translates as "under the rose", which is a historical term denoting secrecy. Initially intended as a personal guild, Sub Rosa only has a handful of members (many of which are the same person!), but is now excited to open its doors to all! Why join? Dofus can be lonely, but it doesn't have to be. We're friendly and helpful, and have been playing Dofus for over 10 years - so we know a thing or two! If you prefer more tangible rewards, we offer our guild members free, 8-slot crafts across the following professions: Farmer Baker Alchemist Hunter Butcher Handyman Tailor Shoemaker Jeweller Bow Carver Staff Carver Wand Carver Axe Smith Dagger Smith Hammer Smith Shovel Smith Sword Smith We don't currently own any houses or paddocks, but are looking to invest soon! What do we look for in our members? Activity - You should be online fairly frequently; Loyalty - We're a friendly bunch, so expect friendship and loyalty in return; Integrity - Don't be the person that constantly asks for kamas, gear or leeching; Maturity - Age 18+ is preferable, but younger isn't a problem if you're sensible; and Sense of humour - It's just a game, so don't take things too seriously! There is currently no minimum level requirement. Rights and ranks XP contribution is, by default, set to 5% for Level 1-199s and 90% for Level 200s. 5% is the minimum level expected of our members, but you can request a different level (above this minimum) at any point. Only the leader will ever have all rights. Rights and ranks will be assigned according to experience contribution: 0 - 10,000 XP | On Trial | No rights 10,000 - 100,000 XP | Apprentice | Personal paddock rights 100,000 - 1,000,000 XP | Initiate | Personal perceptor rights 1,000,000 - 10,000,000 XP | Scout | Alliance rights 10,000,000 - 100,000,000 XP | Guard | Invite and ban rights 100,000,000+ XP | Protector | Boost, rights and XP contribution rights Assignment of Second In Command is on a case-by-case basis, and carries the same rights as Protector (as well as guild paddock/Perceptor rights). A quick note on Alliances We currently don't belong to an Alliance, but will be looking to join one once we've accumulated a few more members. It goes without saying that, once we belong to an Alliance, members should not attack the Perceptors of any guild who belongs to the same Alliance, or any Alliance prisms, on any of their characters. How do I join? At this early stage, only the Leader is currently able to invite new members. Please contact Scapegoat via PM, Ankamabox or in-game, or post a reply below. We look forward to seeing you soon!
  3. Hey, I don't consider myself a pro by any means but I play on eight accounts (c. level 80/90 at the mo) and have almost all professions level 100. If you're on Grandapan, hit me up (IGN Scapegoat).
  4. I know next to nothing about maging, and would love any tool that takes the thought out of it. Yes, I can just open up a calculator and work out the sink manually, but I don't think there's anything to lose if there's a tool that could calculate that for me. I personally would like to mage on Dofus Touch (on my phone) while at the same time having the tool open on my PC, so the copy/paste method (though super useful) wouldn't help me. It would be good to have the option to either copy/paste or manually enter the data.
  5. Thanks for the response, Kiba! Just to clarify, my reply was more of a response to Dacheat's "they'll scrap the project within the first year" comment - I appreciate that a lot of downloads doesn't necessarily warrant a sub-forum. I tried Dofus Touch just on the off chance that it'd reinvigorate my love for Dofus, and now I'm pretty dedicated to it. They did a great job, particularly with the UI on the mobile port. Perhaps people would be more inclined to post about Dofus Touch if there was a sub-forum? I personally didn't consider posting in "Other" as I associate that with the less popular servers on the PC port. Just my two cents. :)
  6. Hi guys, I hate to necropost, but it seems logical in this situation. With over 500,000 downloads on the Google Play store, I feel like a Dofus Touch subforum would be warranted. What was the outcome of your discussions? Cheers, Adam
  7. UPDATE: As of 09:00 BST, 100% of votes have been counted, with 48.1% voting to REMAIN in the EU and 51.9% voting to LEAVE. Remember that this does not mean that the UK are now out of the EU - exit terms will be negotiated over the next two years. So today's the day of the EU referendum, and I've no doubt that I'm not the only one curious about how my fellow Brits have voted/will be voting. Use the poll above to let us know which way. For those who can't vote: I'm also curious to know how you would vote if you were able. Post below to let us know. Current prediction: The Telegraph's latest poll indicates that 51% will vote REMAIN and 49% will vote LEAVE. Results: If you are in the UK, you can watch the live results show from 21:55 BST on BBC One, BBC News Channel and BBC Parliament. If you are outside the UK, the programme will also be shown on BBC World News at the same time.
  8. Updated OP with results: As of 0900 BST, 100% of votes have been counted, with 48.1% voting to REMAIN in the EU and 51.9% voting to LEAVE. Remember that this does not mean that the UK are now out of the EU - exit terms will be negotiated over the next two years.
  9. Less than an hour to go until voting closes!
  10. I must say I'm quite surprised by the votes so far. Remember, if you're able to vote there's only three more hours to go! Let me know if you need help finding your local polling station. :)
  11. Or... perhaps they're getting ideas from you! Just wanted to say: I'm really impressed with the progress, and your map continues to be a super useful tool. Keep up the great work!
  12. That is precisely what I had in mind - great job! So glad to hear that the map is receiving the recognition it deserves. :)
  13. How exciting! I look forward to seeing it in action. :)
  14. Firstly, what an amazing resource! You've done an incredible job with this - thanks so much! In the interest of continuous improvement, I've a few suggestions that would make the tool a little more user-friendly (if that were possible!) for me personally: If you are displaying several resources from different menus (eg one from Alchemist and one from Farmer), you would have to individually go into each menu to stop displaying them. It would be nifty if all displayed resources are shown somewhere (along the top, perhaps?) to allow for easy hiding. Alternatively, a right-click to hide feature (similar to the way in which markers are removed with a right-click) may be simpler to implement. When I'm collecting resources, I target only those maps with a decent number of resources on them (the red ones on your map). As a small improvement, it would be nice if we could filter to only show certain quantities (ie hide the markers that aren't red) - this would make it a little easier to gauge the best areas. When scouring for EH, I found myself looking up each monster on the Wiki to find out which areas it could be found in. It would be great, though, if I could select a particular monster (or, more importantly, archmonster) from a dropdown list to highlight all areas in, say, green (as if you had clicked them all individually). I'm sure you're already thinking about this, but it would be nice if all resources are shown side-by-side for maps with multiple types (I guess this problem is most prolific in mines), as opposed to the most recently clicked taking precedence. Finally, I just wanted to point out that the monster image for Fungore is currently broken: Keep up the great work! :)
  15. Thanks for your input, Auron - and thanks for the blast from the past! I'd almost forgotten a lot of those. Though, how those spells turned out reinforces, for me at least, that Ecaflip's Luck should really head the same way. The fact that the Panda/Eca team pairing is employed to use the invincibility mechanic demonstrates that there is a problem (in the same way that the Elio/Eca pairing used to be employed because of how AoN worked through portals). At the end of the day, I suppose it depends on your definition of the word "problem".
  16. Take a look at the official Dofus forum discussion for more info. Hi guys, Have done quite a bit of Kolo recently, and a trend I'm seeing is Eca/Panda combo. Ultimately, Eca casts Ecaflip's Luck and then, on the Eca's second (ie double damage) turn, Panda stabilises and picks Eca up. I feel like this completely defeats the point of how Ecaflip's Luck should work. As such, I suggest that Ecas become "Heavy" on the second turn of Ecaflip's Luck. Alternative solution: The double damage is taken by the Panda instead. Thoughts? Cheers, Adam
  17. Bump! Got a decent discussion going on the official forums. Generally split as to whether or not this is a problem - would be cool to hear more thoughts. :)
  18. You're comparing a turn of invincibility to general buffs, and I don't agree that those are comparable. It's like comparing an Osa's buffs to their Leash - they're in completely different leagues. I understand the sentiment about Ecas being a "gambling" class - but gambling is inherently balanced. You have an equal chance of winning and losing (most of the time, at least). I don't think the fact that a turn of double damage can be negated for 2 AP is justified by saying "oh, well they're a gambling class so that's to be expected".
  19. To clarify: It's not so much that the situation itself can't be avoided, but more that such a beneficial effect has an avoidable downside at all. In my opinion, any spell that gives such an advantage should have an inherent negative that can't be completely negated with very little cost (a little less resist and 2 AP?). Compare it to Truce. The downside (ie invincibility of the enemy) could be 'avoided' via unbewitchment. Although this could be prevented with a little map manipulation (ie keeping the unbewitchers at bay), the ability to unbewitch the damage reduction was ultimately removed. I'm just calling for a similar approach to Ecaflip's Luck.
  20. Yep, I'm sure we all appreciate that map manipulation is the answer (as with most things). That doesn't detract from the fact that spells that give a huge advantage (such as invincibility for one turn) should really have an unavoidable downside. That's why Osa's Leash includes res reduction, Truce applies Pacifist state and WoR makes the target unhealable - none of which can be avoided. EDIT: Also wanted to quickly add that, while Luck + Truce is unavoidable, I don't see this is too big a problem as the benefit (ie invincibility) is enjoyed by both allies and enemies. Plus I can't think of a sensible solution.
  21. Not as far as I'm aware (though this could be an alternative solution if not already in place).
  22. Awesome channel, guys! I voted Medium. Back in the day (before sporadic in-video YouTube ads were a thing - bleughhh!) I loved to wack a Let's Play series up on the TV, grab some popcorn and zone out for a few hours - but now I have to get up every five minutes to close a bloody ad! I guess that, at the end of the day, you can't please everybody. Some people watch during downtime, and so may prefer shorter videos - others (like me) watch as a hobby, and so prefer something a little more substantial. The crucial thing is to offer something unique (whether that manifests in the types of games you play, the commentary, audience involvement, etc) and strike a decent balance between entertainment and information. Best of luck!
  23. Hi again Dire, Just a quick heads up that both of the issues you reported have now been resolved (we're 24 years old again - hurrah!). Thanks Sommanker - I really appreciate you having a look! It's basically a user-friendly, non-profit gamer directory/matchmaking tool (with gaming news to boot!). It came about as a result of my own frustrations with sifting through hundreds of sites/forums (not that there's anything wrong with forums, of course!) for every game I play to find someone else who speaks the same language(s), shares my gaming interest(s) and has a similar gaming timetable to me. We're working on a lot of cool additional features, but, as it is, it's quite a nifty tool! I look forward to hearing what you think! :)
  24. UPDATE 15/3: Hi guys, Back in December I wrote about an upcoming beta for my gaming community/matchmaking site, Gaming Circle - and there was a great response! Well, we received a lot of great feedback, and the site has evolved a LOT - both in content and functionality - since then. And we're finally pleased to be officially launching! It would mean the world to me if you guys could take a minute or two out of your day to sign up, complete you profiles and let me know what you think of everything (either via an IV PM, by posting below or using the site's Contact Form. Please let me know if you have any questions about the site, politics, wedding dresses or antique clocks (etc, etc)! Cheers, Adam --- ORIGINAL POST 24/11/15: Hi everyone! For those who don't know, I'm currently working (in conjunction with a few others) on a gaming community/matchmaking website called Gaming Circle. In a nut shell, it allows gamers to easily connect with one another, from a database of over 4,000 (and growing!) titles across all the main gaming platforms. (Head over to the site if you'd like to know a bit more!). UPDATE 24/10: You can also find out more (with images!) here! The project started way back in February 2014, and since then I've sought help from you guys on one or two occasions, and the response has been amazing! We're currently in the process of final tweaking/testing - but we need your help once more. So, how can you help? We're hoping to run a beta test for the site - which will culminate in a short Q&A to determine the future direction of the site (eg what you like/dislike; if there anything else you'd like to see, etc) - and we'd love to have you on board. We're not completely sure at this stage when this will happen (though it will certainly be this year), but you can sign-up to our mailing list to be notified when everything kicks off. UPDATE 24/10: We're aiming to kick off the site's closed beta on November 16th! UPDATE 23/11: Gaming Circle's closed beta kicks off TOMORROW! UPDATE 25/11: Gaming Circle's beta is now live - a big thank you to everyone who signed up! If this is something you think you'd be interested in, click here to sign-up. Feel free to post below or drop me a PM if you have any questions! Thanks so much for all your help and support! Adam Psst... If you want to stay in the loop, you could also follow us on Twitter or like our Facebook page. We also post the latest gaming news, reviews and videos - if that's something you're into. :)
  25. Hi Dire, Thanks for signing up! And thanks again for reporting these issues - the site is by no means as polished as it could be! The weekday/weekend gaming times issue was something that reared its ugly head during the beta - and I thought we'd fixed that! I shall pop it back on the to-do list (as a matter of priority) and let you know how we get on. The age issue is also a known problem, which is scheduled to be fixed tomorrow (rest assured that, in the meantime, the site *knows* your actual age - it's just a display issue) - I completely agree with your sentiments (I am also 24, and don't like that it shows the "25-34" age bracket). Once again, I'll let you know how we get on. Cheers, Adam
